Precautions
From the day after the procedure, washing your face, applying makeup, and showering are allowed. (Avoid shampooing on the day of the procedure.)
For one week after the procedure, avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, strenuous exercise, and hot baths.
Apply ice packs for about 3 days after the procedure.
Swelling, bruising, and pain may last as short as 3 days or, in rare cases, up to 4 weeks. (The most noticeable effects usually occur around days 3–4.)
Since the threads lift the tissue strand by strand, dimpling (small indentations resembling dimples) may appear in treated areas, but most of these resolve within 1–2 weeks.
Avoid rubbing or applying pressure to the areas where threads were inserted. Also, avoid opening your mouth widely for one month. (Lymphatic or facial massage can be resumed after 3 months.)
